The Discover University expansion allowed our Sims to pursue higher education in STEM fields such as Engineering and Robotics. This not only means a higher median income for your cultivated Sims but a variety of new skills like building high-tech robots.
Finally, it is possible to create a realistic version of Marvel’s Tony Stark in The Sims 4
Or at least have a Sim follow in your footsteps to world fame and mountains of cash.
Let’s take a look at some great custom creations that are sure to help your Sim fulfill his dream of becoming Iron Man and running one of the world’s largest tech companies (Sim).
Table of Contents
1. Volvox beard
What makes Iron Man a great hero? Are they the big bucks? The incredible high-tech battle suit?
While these things definitely have something to do with it, I think the suit would be nothing without the man who created it (in most continuities anyway).
I mean Tony Stark.
Creator RemusSirion used Robert Downey Jr.’s interpretation of Mr. Stark as the inspiration for this sleek beard.
It’s available in 10 colors, and even if you don’t end up making a Tony Stark sim, it’s still a huge bonus.
2. Iron Man and Spider-Man costume set
So you have the character who will wear the suit figured out. Now what? Well, now we make them look like a superhero.
This AmiSwift costume set includes tight-fitting outfits for both Spider-Man and Iron Man.
Get them for when your Sim wants to envision their future as a business tycoon in a cool battle suit, or just have fun during Halloween.
3. Avengers / Tony Stark T-shirts
The truth is, you can’t wear a suit all the time.
I mean, you can if it’s made from smart stuff that somehow gets stored in your bones and then resurfaces when you need it.
But The Sims is not yet compatible with that model.
A great option that still shows your Sim’s loyalty is one of these Birba32 t-shirts.
One of the features is the Avengers logo, which Iron Man has been a part of since time immemorial, while the other is a direct copy of a shirt seen wearing Robert Downey Jr. in Iron Man 3, with the glow of the Bow. Reactor looming.
4. Iron Man cap
If there’s one thing Tony Stark is good at, it’s making money, and the only thing that could make him more money than the gun trade is Iron Man merchandise.
One of my favorite Iron Man merchandise is this Kronronko-designed Iron Man cap, which allows any Sim to wear the stern look of the superhero on their forehead.
It comes in four colors, including magenta, blue, red, and gray, highlighting Iron Man’s shiny gold face on the front.
It’s either bold and creative or completely ridiculous, and I love it either way.
5. Stark Industries Hoodie
My favorite Iron Man piece has to be the Stark Industries hoodie from creator MariaStark.
This is the kind of simple, sporty look you would see Tony sporting in his lab or during facility inspections. It’s comfortable, it looks great, and it lets everyone know where your affiliations are.
The simple white Stark Industries logo looks eye-catching on this all-black hoodie.
Get it for a sports Sim who likes to go for a run to get the creativity flowing before designing futuristic tech.
6. Tony Stark’s Arc Reactor
After being attacked and seriously injured in the middle of a war zone that his weapons helped create, Tony devised the first version of the Arc Reactor.
This magnet-based contraption keeps your heart safe from shrapnel lodged in your abdominal cavity – or, at least, that was its originally intended use.
It’s also a fantastic power source, and it went on to power all of Iron Man’s gadgets, including the suit itself.
Creator RoxasMay brings us their version of the world’s most stylish pacemaker.
This glowing panel will glow on your Sim’s chest, making it perfect for aliens, androids, and other tech characters other than Tony Stark.
7. Iron Man MK. 42 Suit
Once you have the power source, it is time to choose your superhero costume.
Tony has designed many costumes since the first junk abomination that saved his life in Afghanistan (or Vietnam, if you’re a stickler for comics).
Version 42 is one of the most iconic, thanks to its prominent role in Iron Man 3 (2013).
Among other things, this golden suit has the unique ability to trap people inside, thanks to its grasping propulsion technology. Now, it will wrap your favorite Sim.
This G1G2 set comes in the traditional gold and red Iron Man and an all-gray palette reminiscent of War Machine.
8. MK. 42 Recolor
Tony used to have a small army of semi-autonomous Iron Man suits in his basement until he blew them all through the House Party Protocol at the end of Iron Man 3.
I can’t offer you all the models I had, but the creator Xenos Artefact came up with an interesting alternative:
Various MK colors. 42.
Includes numerous variations of Iron Man’s signature red and gold and more unique ones like dark blue/red and a red/gray combination with flame decals on the legs.
Have some Sims don these suits 24/7 and pretend it’s a reality show about sentient robots living together.
9. Iron Man MK.25 «Thumper»
For something bulkier, the MK. 25 Thumper is a classic option.
Also known as “Striker”, the MK. 25 has massive arms and a thicker frame than the MK. 42 and most other Iron Man suits, with the notable exception of the MK. 44 Hulkbuster.
Its powerful jackhammer-shaped arms make it ideal for construction, which is why they are painted like a CAT truck. However, they are probably stronger than any CATERPILLAR machine.
10. Iron Man functional suit
I have always valued function over appearance.
But it is always better to get both simultaneously.
Any Sim can dress up as Iron Man, but only the smartest can take advantage of the suit’s technology.
Sim University Mechanical Engineering students will eventually learn how to build the Exo-Mech Suit featured in the Discover University expansion pack, but it is generally a dull gray and green color.
This Cantransimmer mod gives this fantastic Simgineering piece an Iron Man makeover by painting it red and gold and adding some cool details.
With it, your Sims can float like Iron Man and JARVIS will help them explore other Sims for moods and traits.
